Our team consists of Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychologists and Clinical Psychotherapists. We offer individual therapy, family and relationship therapy, and psychometric assessments for children, youth and adults of all ages.

We accept the following referral types
Mental Health Care Plan
Medicare Better Access provides rebates for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year. In order to be eligible for these Medicare rebates, you must be referred under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) by a GP, paediatrician, or psychiatrist. Please see your medical practitioner to discuss eligibility.
Clinical Psychologist – $128.40
Registered Psychologist – $87.45
You may receive a greater rebate if you have reached the Medicare Safety Net,
National Disability Insurance Scheme
Picton Psychology is an approved provider of Therapeutic supports, Improved Daily living. Including:
- Psychology – Counselling
- Psychology – Assessments
To access therapeutic services, Picton Psychology requires a copy of your approved NDIS plan. This will assist to determine the frequency of attendance with your allocated funds, your service agreement and treatment planning aligning with your specific goals.

Workers Compensation & Compulsory Third Party (CTP)
If you have been injured at work, on your journey to or from work, you may be eligible to receive Workers Compensation benefits under NSW WorkCover scheme, or the Commonwealth Government’s ComCare scheme. If you have been approved through SIRA for a worker’s compensation claim we can provide the psychological services you may be entitled to.
Department of Veterans Affairs
DVA grants sessions for veterans and the ex-veteran community. If you have a gold or white card, please contact DVA to find out if you are eligible for psychology services.
Chronic Disease Management
People who have a chronic medical condition that has been present for 6 or more months and have exhausted their MHCP sessions can access 5 sessions covered by the Medicare rebate. Please see your GP to discuss eligibility.
Employee Assistance Programs
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) aims to support employees affected by personal, family and/or work related issues. Your employer or EAP co-ordinator can make a referral to Picton Psychology and cover the cost of services on behalf of their employees. Any communication with the employer including invoicing can be managed to ensure confidentiality is maintained.
What to bring
Please bring a copy of any referral from your medical practitioner if your wish to claim relevant Medicare rebates, along with your Medicare card.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel at your earliest opportunity via phone, text or email so that the appointment can be made available to others.
We ask for clients call us before 12pm on the day before their scheduled appointment when cancelling appointments. Cancellations received outside of this time will incur a 100% cancellation fee. This policy is explained during intake and at the initial appointment with your clinician.
