Verbal reasoning
Understanding, reasoning with, and expressing ideas through language.
A detailed measure of thinking and reasoning abilities — how someone processes information, remembers, and solves problems. Assessments bring clarity about strengths, challenges, and the best ways to support learning and work.

A cognitive assessment measures intellectual ability across several domains — verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, working memory, and processing speed. It provides an objective picture of someone's thinking profile.
The results help explain why certain tasks feel easy and others feel harder, and they form the foundation for many other assessments, from learning disorders to giftedness and support planning.
What we explore
A cognitive assessment looks across several connected areas, including:
Understanding, reasoning with, and expressing ideas through language.
Visual and spatial problem-solving that doesn't rely on words.
Holding, remembering and using information over short periods of time.
How quickly and accurately simple information is taken in and used.
Bringing together different thinking skills to understand a person’s overall cognitive profile
Understanding where a person’s thinking skills are strongest and where additional support or strategies may be helpful.
