Trauma Informed Yoga & Mindful Movement

Yoga for calm, clarity, and resilience. Together, we'll explore gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness and meditation — practices designed to support you through the stress, anxiety and overwhelm that can arise in everyday life.

Why yoga helps

Our minds can sometimes become caught in the same thoughts and patterns, a little like a record stuck on repeat. Yoga and mindfulness offer practical ways to slow down and build awareness.

Through movement, breathwork and meditation, you'll practise noticing your thoughts with curiosity rather than judgement, learning what deserves your attention and what you can gently let pass.

With regular practice, these practices can support a greater sense of calm and resilience, helping you respond to yourself and the world around you with more balance and compassion. You don't need to be flexible, experienced or know anything about yoga to begin. There's nothing to prepare or perfect, simply come as you are.

Is this right for you?

You might relate if…

People come to yoga for many different reasons. You don't need to be experiencing a difficult time to benefit — you may recognise some of these.

Not at all. No previous yoga experience is needed. Kay will gently guide you through each practice.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. There's no need for special yoga clothing.

Nothing — everything you need for the practice will be provided.

This will depend on the type and severity of your injury. Please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether the practice is suitable for you.

Not at all, there's definitely no need to bend yourself into a pretzel! The practice involves slow, gentle movement, mindfulness and meditation. You will, however, need to be able to safely move between the floor and a standing position.
